Yuhansa Peiris cruised through to the final in the girls’ category of the ITF Junior Circuit J30 Week 4 tennis tournament with a convincing two sets to nil against Akari Oda of Japan in the semifinal encounter played at the SLTA tennis courts in Colombo yesterday.
Yuhansa will now meet Aaraa Aasaal Azim of Maldives who recorded a hard fought two sets to one win over Chiu Kwan Nina Wang of Hong Kong in the other semifinal.
Meanwhile in the boys’ semifinal Ganuka Fernando bowed out of contention when he underwent a two sets to nil defeat to Asahi Yamazaki of Japan who will now meet his compatriot Kenshin Shato who defeated Eunho Park of Korea by two sets to nil.
The two finals are scheduled to be played today.

Girls – Yuhansa Peiris (Sri Lanka) beat Akari Oda (Japan) 2-0 (6/4, 6/1) Aaraa Aasaal Azim (Maldives) beat Chiu Kwan Nina Wang (Hong Kong) 2-1 (4/6, 6/2, 7/6)
Boys – Asahi Yamazaki (Japan) beat Ganuka Fernando (Sri Lanka) 2-1 (6/4, 1/6, 6/2).
Kenshin Shato (Japan) beat Eunho Park (Korea) 2-0 (6/3, 6/1)
