Trinity pile on the runs against St. Sylvester’s

The inter-school Under 19 cricket encounter between Trinity College and St. Sylvester’s College ended in a no-decision with the hosts taking major honors at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy today (16).

In reply to visitors score of 201, Trinity College made a strong reply by scoring over 500 runs.

Skipper Abishek Anandakumar (146) and Umair Raizan (139) scored brilliant centuries.

Raizan hit 18 boundaires while Abishek had 10 boundaries and three sixes in his knock.

Both put on 240 runs for the second wicket.

Trinity 148 for 1 overnight 501 all out (Abishek Anandakumar 146, Umair Raizan 139, Pawan Pathiraja 75)
