Stubborn batting from Skipper Nipun Dananjaya, Lakshan Gamage and Dunith Wellalage helped Sri Lanka Under-19 draw their second 4-Day Youth Test match against Bangladesh Under-19 which concluded at the Khulna Stadium in Dhaka yesterday.
In fact Dananjaya carried the side towards safety with a dogged knock of 81 runs in 318 balls that included four boundaries after Sri Lanka Under-19 had resumed their second innings at 187 for five. He was well supported by Gamage and Wellalage with both scoring 45 runs each.
Bangladesh Under-19, left with a victory target of 177 runs ended the day at 37 for three in their second innings.
The two teams will play their first of the five Unofficial ODIs on November 9 at the same venue.
