Volleyball Super League Men’s champions Army team with officials

Sri Lanka Army emerged champions of the Munchee Nationals Super League Men’s Volleyball Tournament, with the final worked off at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo.
The tournament was conducted by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB).
In the men’s final, Sri Lanka Army defeated Sri Lanka Port Authority (SLPA) 3–1 (25–15, 28–30, 25–13, 25–18) to secure the title. SLPA managed to edge out the second set 30–28 after a closely fought contest, but the Army players dominated the remaining sets to seal victory.
Both Sri Lanka Army and SLPA fielded a large number of national-level players in the final.
K. Kaleichelvam of Sri Lanka Army was named Best Opposite Player and Most Valuable Player of the final.
Other individual award winners were Sajitha Kelumrathna (Army) – Best Outside Hitter (1), Kavindi Pabasara (SLPA) – Best Outside Hitter (2), Wasantha Lakmal (Army) – Best Middle Player, G. Prabath (Army) – Best Setter, and Sanoj Suranga (Army) – Best Libero.
