Java Lane SC midfielder Mohamed Rizkhan (No. 10) celebrates with teammates after scoring in the 53rd minute against Serendib SC

Java Lane SC Colombo and Police SC Colombo recorded important victories in the fourth week of the FFSL Champions League 2025–26 Super Eight round matches played at the Racecourse Ground in Colombo last Saturday.
The tournament is conducted by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) and is held every weekend.
Java Lane SC registered an emphatic 5–0 win over Serendib SC Mawanella. The half-time score stood at 1–0 in favour of Java Lane. Forward Nwabuisi Benard starred with a hat-trick, finding the net in the 41st, 55th and 59th minutes. Mohamed Rizkhan added another goal in the 53rd minute, while Serendib conceded an own goal through Mohamed Safri.
Benard was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
In the other encounter, Police SC fought back to defeat New Star SC Colombo 3–2 in a thrilling contest. New Star led 2–0 at halftime with goals from Affro Togneble in the 22nd minute and Mohamed Thilham in the 25th minute.
However, Police SC produced a stunning second-half comeback, scoring three goals within six minutes. Substitute Hasaranga Priyantha struck in the 52nd minute, while Hussain Abdulla netted twice in the 56th and 58th minutes to seal victory. Abdulla was named Man of the Match.
