Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC) is proud to announce their official technology and telecommunications partnership with Sri Lanka’s National ICT and Telecommunications Service Provider SLT-Mobitel, for their exciting and highly successful eSports Simulation Racing Platform that has recently taken the local motorsports genre to the pinnacle of competition, enabling the best local drivers to compete at the highest level.
In 2019 simulation racing was officially announced by CMSC as the pathway for grassroot level motorsport to nurture and develop the racing skills and potential of new and seasoned racers in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lankan racers have previously faced many challenges in entering the very expensive world of motorsport. The characteristics of simulation racing counters these restrictions by enabling drivers to compete with equal machinery in a highly competitive environment.
CMSC has branched its eSports Simulation Racing Platform into public events and online events including #RaceAtHome, #RallyAtHome Championships.
Furthermore, plans are underway to include a championship with India.
Very soon Ceylon Motor Sports Club will unveil plans for two more championships in the coming months.
All events are provided as free content for viewers of the world to see live on their Media Platforms.
SLT-Mobitel is using this partnership to further establish their position as the leading provider of cutting-edge technology and connectivity solutions to high tech local initiatives, with the goal of bringing Sri Lankan talent to the world’s stage in eSports.
