Renown SC edged-out Negombo Youth SC 3-2 in their Dialog Champions League Stage-4 match played at the Football Complex in Kelaniya on Tuesday (26).
After a scoreless first half Renown SC opened scoring through M. C. M. Rifnas before Madushanka Peiris provided the equaliser for Negombo Youth few minutes later.
In fact Negombo Youth SC took a 2-1 lead when Kamal Silva scored their second goal during the latter stages.
However, Job Michael struck twice before the final whistle to seal the game in favour of
Renown SC.
Meanwhile, Super Sun SC defeated Java Lane SC 1-0 in another match played at the Vernon Fernando Stadium in Kalutara.
After a scoreless first half E. B. Channa netted the solitary goal for the winners.
In addition, Solid SC Anuradhapura defeated Blue Star SC Kalutara 2-1 in their match played at Anuradhapura.
In another match, Saunders SC drew 1-1 against Matara City FC at the Matara Football Complex.
After a scoreless first half, Prince Boadu opened scoring for Matara City FC before Chamod Dilshan netted the equaliser for Saunders SC.
