Police Sports Club are set to unleash their Fijian sensation Emosi Vunivosa against Navy Sports Club in their Dialog Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament opening match which will be played at the Police Park today (09).
Vunivosa, who is capable of playing at several positions, will start the game at centre along with Iroshan Silva while no changes have been made to their preferred front row of last season consisting Lahiru Pavithra, Rasith Silva and Dhanushka Edirisooriya.
The Cops who finished seventh last season are also expected to hand club debuts to former St. Joseph’s College full back Sachith Silva and former Isipathana College third row Vageesga Weerasinghe.
Navy SC meanwhile, are set to line-up Adeesha Weeratunga, Raveen Silva and Radeesha Seneviratne in the third row while sticking to their familiar half-back combination of Harsha Maduranga and Mohamed Abzal.
Sri Lanka Sevens star player Buddhima Piyarathne and young Chathura Gomez are starting the game as the two wing three quarters while there is no place for Saliya Hadapangoda in the first XV.

Navy SC: Deshan Vimukthy, Mahesh Madushanka, Charith Silva, Supun Peiris, Gavin Patrick, Adeesha Weeratunga, Raveen Silva, Radeesha Seneviratne, Harsha Maduranga and Mohamed Abzal, Buddhima Piyarathne, Mushin Faleel, Thanuja Maduranga, Chathura Gomes, Thilina Weerasinghe.
