Gateway trio shine at Badminton Junior Nationals

Rashmi Mudalige and Vishwanie Wanniarachchi won the Under 19 and Under 15 Singles titles at the 38th Junior Nationals 2023 conducted at the Sugathadasa Indoor courts. Partnering with Natasha Gunasekara, Mudalige also won the runner-up trophy in Under 19 Girls’ Doubles.

Gateway College were Girls’ Runners-up at the tournament.

In addition to their local achievements Mudalige, Gunasekara and Wanniarachchi represented Sri Lanka in 2022. 

Mudalige and Wanniarachchi represented the country at the Under 17 and Under 15 Asian Championships held in Thailand. 

Gunasekara joined Mudalige to participate at the Linings International Challenge that was held in Maldives.
