CMC Sports Awards ceremony today

The 2022 Annual Sports Awards Ceremony of the Sports and Recreation Department of the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) will be held at the Recreation Hall in Mattakkuliya today, commencing at 3.30 p.m.
A total of 45 out of 600 sportsmen and sportswomen who excelled in 10 sports, including basketball, elle, powerlifting, volleyball, bodybuilding, football, carrom, table tennis and netball, will be felicitated at this ceremony, which will be held under the patronage of CMC Mayor Rosy Senanayake.    

In addition, Janani Perera, of the CMC, who was a member of the Asian champion Sri Lanka Netball Team in Singapore will receive a cash award of Rs. 500,000.
