Uniformed nurses at AKD’s meeting: Election Commission seeks report from health authorities

The Election Commission has sought a report from the Director General of Health Services regarding the participation of government nurses in uniform at the National All Ceylon Nurses’ Conference, which was held under the patronage of National People’s Power (NPP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake, an official said yesterday.

The Commission has received multiple complaints regarding the presence of uniformed nurses at a meeting with Mr. Dissanayake.

“Although this matter is not directly related to us, we have sought a report due to a range of complaints we have received,” he added.
