Champika visits Hirunika at Welikada Prison

The leader of the United Republic Party (URP) Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka and a group of members of the party visited the jailed former parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra at the Welikada Prison on Saturday.   

Speaking to the media after the visit Mr. Ranawaka said he did not have any issue with the ruling of the court on the case involving Ms. Premachandra.   

However, he said that the political underworld targets those who challenge them and launches smear campaigns.
