Govt. commences paying Rs.2,000 allowance

An elderly person is being taken to a centre by a soldier to receive an allowance of Rs. 2000 yesterday in Colombo. The government commenced paying the allowance to low-income families affected by the temporary closure of the country, in order to control the spread of Covid-19.
