Youth slits man’s throat over love affair dispute

• The suspect is alleged to have slit the throat of the victim with a piece of glass while at a rented out house at Andrew’s Lane in Kadawatha

A 19-year old youth was arrested in Kadawatha after he slit the throat of another youth following a dispute over a love affair.  Police said investigations are being carried out by the Kadawatha Police. 

The suspect is alleged to have slit the throat of the victim with a piece of glass while at a rented out house in Andrew’s Lane in Kadawatha.  

The victim had died on admission to the Ragama Hospital.   The deceased was a 20 year old youth from Gonahena, Kadawatha.  

It was learnt that the murder took place following a dispute over a love affair.
