Sexual abuse of another teenage girl; four including girl’s father arrested, six more absconding

Ten men have sexually exploited a 13-year-old girl from Nawalapitiya and the police arrested four of them including the girl’s father on Tuesday, Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said.  

He said the girl was abused on several occasions and investigations are underway to arrest six other suspects. 
The spokesman said that a woman was also arrested on charges of aiding and abetting 

the crime.  The arrested were produced before the Nawalapitiya Magistrate Court.  Meanwhile, SDIG Rohana said the police would conduct awareness programmes across the country in order to prevent child abuse and sexual violence against children.
