As the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has decided to support an all party administration, its MP Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka is of the opinion that such a government is not the solution to the present crisis.

SJB MP Eran Wickramaratne told a press conference that his party has decided to support a multi party government without accepting any ministerial portfolios. “ We have decided that we must support the government to resolve the financial crisis . Therefore SJB has decided to back a multi party administration without accepting any ministries,” he said.

However he said his party wants emergency abolished and stop suppression.

However Field Marshal Fonseka told media earlier during the weekend that an all party government will not work. “ An all party government will not work as only those who are charged with corruption will play a lead role in such a government. “Majority of MPs in Parliament are corrupt while there are others who are waiting till they get a chance to rob public property. Therefore an all party or government will not be a solution,” he said.

“ Some SJB members agree with me while others don’t. Also there are some in SJB MPs who are responsible for some happenings in the past,” he added.

“Even some in the aragalaya are not genuine. Some people come and give voice cuts to attract attention. There are others in the aragalaya who are not politically matured,” he said.

“ I don’t intend to give leadership to Aragalaya but prepared to provide leadership to any group who follow the right path. I will make Sri Lanka a developed nation with a per capita income more than $ 15,000 within ten years if I am given the responsibility,” Fonseka stressed.
