Former Minister Ravi Karunanayake yesterday said his recent trip to the North was to look into start an investment project which will bring much needed dollars to Sri Lanka.
Karunanayake said this in response to a query made by journalists at a public function.
“ Why can’t I go to the North in a helicopter. I can do whatever I like as I am not in the government. Besides one should not think negatively of my recent trip to Mannar,” he said.
Asked whether he intends taking up a position in the government,, Karunanayake said what is important is not to take up positions but working for people is
what matters.
