Ranil to be sworn in as Finance Minister?

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is expected to be sworn in as the Minister of Finance today May 25 2022, sources from the Prime Minister’s office said yesterday.  

The Finance Ministry has been vacant though 21 Ministers have been sworn in already.   It was earlier reported that the Prime Minister is likely to retain the Finance Ministry.  

Mr. Wickremesinghe will be the 23rd Minister of Finance if he is sworn in as the subject Minister.
