Over 80 per cent vaccination completed in Negombo MOH division

Around 80 per cent of the first dose of the vaccine is completed in the Negombo Medical Officer of Health Division, a minister said. 

Nimal Lanza, State Minister for Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure said that first dose for over 80 per cent of the age group who were eligible for vaccination in the Negombo Medical Officer of Health Division has been given. 
There are 102,359 people who have to be vaccinated in the Negombo MOH Division, out of them 82,367 have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca- Covishield, Sinopharm and AstraZeneca. 17,100 people have received the second dose. 

The high level of vaccination in the Negombo division, which is popular as a tourist and fishing zone will further facilitate their economic and daily activities. 

Accordingly, the first dose is expected to be given to all those involved in the vaccination programme in the Negombo Medical Officer of Health Division in the next few days and he thanked the Health and Security Forces for their support.
