Man, two children drown in Wellawaya waterfall

• They were identified as a 38-year-old male, his 15-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter

A man and his two children who went to bathe in a waterfall in Wellawaya drowned yesterday afternoon.    

The deceased had been identified by a group of family members who had gone to bathe in the Ellawala fall in Wellawaya.   

The remains of the 38-year-old male, his 15-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter were later recovered from the scene.   

Wellawaya Police with the assistance of the people at the scene had recovered the bodies that were transferred to the Wellawaya Hospital morgue.
