Lawyer selling thai Embassy land using forged documents arrested

  • The arrested Lawyer was to be produced before the Colombo Magistrate

An Attorney-at-Law was arrested by the CID for having sold a 20-perch land worth Rs. 500 million that belonged to the Thailand Embassy in Colombo- 7 by using forged documents, Police said.   

The CID earlier arrested two men who had forged the title deeds and sold the land to another person, Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said.   


The CID began investigations after it was revealed that the transaction was made through a forged deed.   
The arrested Lawyer was to be produced before the Colombo Magistrate.
