Lankan passenger from Australia found dead on board

The body of a passenger who had died on board the SriLankan Airline, flight No. UL 605 from Melbourne on Saturday night was handed over to the Katunayake police.  

Duty Officer of the airport said the deceased Ratnalingam Ramalingam (75) was a resident of Jaffna. He said the passenger had taken ill and died soon after the flight took off from Melbourne airport. However the crew had decided to proceed to Katunayake.without returning to Melbourne.   The body was referred to the Negombo hospital for a postmortem examination.
