Keselwatta Dhanuka’s accomplice nabbed with cash, cannabis

Kavishka Madushan Abeywickrama alias ‘Wanathe Chathu’, an accomplice of Keselwatta Dhanuka was arrested with four kilograms of Kerala cannabis and over Rs. 5 million cash in Kotikawatta.   

Police said the suspect was arrested on a tip- off received by the Intelligence Unit of the Colombo Crimes Division while residing in a rented house   

They said the suspect  was said to be a follower of Juud Betze, a key accomplice of Keselwatta Dhanuka, who died in Dubai.   

Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Unit in the Colombo North Division arrested a 25-year- old woman in possession of  one kilogram of heroin which had a street value of Rs 10 million at Modara in Colombo.
