Family of three run over by train in Rosella

• They were from Samimalae in Maskeliya

A man, his wife and child were run over by the Colombo bound Udarata Menike express train at the 103Km post between Rosella and Watawala railway stations last morning.   

Investigations revealed that they were from Samimalae in Maskeliya and that they had made inquiries regarding arrival of trains and walked along the railway line.   
The bodies were handed over to Nawalapitiya Railway Station, the next halt of the express train.   

It was yet to be established whether they met with an accident or committed suicide. Watawala Police are conducting further investigations.
