Explosion at Cinnamon Gardens building due to gas leak: Govt Analyst confirms

• Two persons who were at the parking lot near the building were injured in the incident

The Government Analyst has confirmed that a gas leak had caused the explosion at the building in Cinnamon Gardens on Reid Avenue, Colombo 7 on Friday morning, Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said.

 Two persons who were at the parking lot near the building were injured in the incident.

According to the Police spokesman, the Government Analyst has determined that the explosion was not caused by any explosive material.

Moreover, he said the duo who sustained minor injuries due to the explosion were discharged from the hospital.
