Committee to probe happenings inside Parliament on December 3 and 4,2021

• MPs should not use harsh language and make unwanted allegations at each other during debates

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene yesterday appointed a 11 member committee to probe the happenings inside Parliament on December 3 and 4,2021.  

The committee headed by Deputy Speaker Ranjith Siyambalapitiya comprises Ministers Chamal Rajapaksa, Bandula Gunawardene, Vasudeva Nanayakkara , Susil Premajayantha, MPs Gayantha Karunatilake, Rauff Hakeem, Anura Yapa, Vijitha Herath, Ranjith Madduma Bandara and M.A.Sumanthiran .  

“The committee will be entrusted with the task of probing the incidents on December 3 and December 4 and also to make recommendations on steps that has to be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future,” the Speaker said.  

 “MPs should not use harsh language and make unwanted allegations at each other during debates.
