CMC urges property owners in city limits to register their ownership

There are 26,536 properties within Colombo city whose ownership has not been registered, CMC Commissioner Roshanie Dissanayake revealed.

As per a recent paper advertisement by the CMC with the signature, there are 26,536 properties in 47 wards of CMC area without ownership registration. This information has been published on the CMC website as well.
According to the data some 5,491 properties have been unregistered in Fort while 6,091 are unregistered in Mahawatte. In addition there are 1,500 unregistered properties in Bambalapitiya and 837 in Havelock town. The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has urged private property owners in the city limits who have not registered with CMC to register their ownership before November 30 this year.
