CID probes ‘man in robes’ scolding President by using abusive words

• The investigation was prompted by a video clip that is currently circulating, in which the alleged “monk” can be seen publicly scolding the President using abusive words

An investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department is underway against a monk named Saddha Ratana from Rajanganaya, who posted a video on YouTube insulting President Ranil Wickremesinghe. 

The investigation was prompted by a video clip that is currently circulating, in which the alleged “monk” can be seen publicly scolding the President using abusive words.   
Sources said a special report on the matter has already been submitted to the President’s Office.
