A part of Rupavahini building to be given to NSBM

  • Rupavahini Corporation will continue without any hindrance as only one part of the building will be given to NSBM the Minister assured at the meeting

A part of the building used by the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation is to be allocated to National School of Business Management (NSBM), Minister of Media Bandula Gunawardena had revealed.    

NSBM is a government recognizer degree awarding institution.   


This was revealed by the Minister at the meeting of advisory Committee of the Ministry held in Parliament.   


“ Rupavahini Corporation will continue without any hindrance as only one part of the building will be given to NSBM the minister assured at the meeting.   
Also he refuted the claims that community channels of Sri Lanka Broadcasting corporation will not be closed.   


In another development MP’s Diana Gamage and Mano Ganesan had a heated exchange at the meeting with regard to comments made by the former on Tamil films. MP Gamage had said Tamil films promote violence. MP Ganesan said almost all movies show violence and therefore the MP should not pinpoint on Tamil films alone. The duo got into an argument which continued for sometime according to eye witnesses.
