250kg heroin case Police hunts two wanted suspects

The Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) yesterday released photographs of two wanted drug traffickers, seeking public assistance to locate them in connection with the seizing of over 290 kilos of heroin in international waters South of Sri Lanka, December last year. Police said several suspects were arrested in connection with the incident and the information on the two wanted suspects were revealed by the suspects in custody.   

Accordingly, a  32-year-old, Vithanage Nirash Chanuka Widyasekara Weerasinghe, a resident of Gonapinuwala and 32-year-old Galmangoda Guruge Dileep Sameera Sadaruwan alias ‘Loku’ are wanted by the PNB.   

Police requested the public to contact ASP of PNB via 0718592727 or to PNB via 0772343333-4 if anyone has information about the suspects.
