Worker dies as mound of earth fell on him in Kandy

A worker attached to the waste water project in Kandy died this morning due to a mound of earth slipped on him, police said.

They said the project is at Bogambara in Kandy and the incident was reported this morning.

The worker died on admission to the Kandy National Hospital (KNH) this morning.

The Kandy police are conducting investigation into the incident. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
