UNP will always support the people’s struggle : Ruwan

The UNP will always support the people’ s struggle, it’s Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene yesterday said issuing a special message for May Day.

“May Day came into being with the struggle launched by the workers in Chicago. This struggle resulted in establishing some labour rights becoming law in the globe. Sri Lanka has also established certain labour laws. Most of these laws have been enacted during UNP governments,” he said.

“The main struggle today has become the daily survival of the people.the youth who are protesting in Galle Face is also asking for ways and means for their day to day survival,” he further said.
