Triple murder suspect at large; Police seek help

Police today released a photograph of the main suspect wanted over the triple murder of a father and two of his sons who have been shot to death. The said they are seeking public assistance to arrest him over the heinous crime which took place on October 6 in Minuwangoda.

Police said the suspect, 39-year old Sanjeeva Lakmal a resident at No. 10, Mahindarama Road, Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte is identified as the main culprit who carried out the shooting.

Three men from the same family, the father and two of his sons were shot to death at Gammanagedara, ​​Minuwangoda last week due to a dispute eventually turned into grudge over flying a kite.

Earlier, several suspects were arrested by the police over the shooting. But the main suspect is evading arrest.
