Special traffic plan in Colombo for Modi’s visit

Colombo, April 2 (Daily Mirror)- Several roads in Colombo including the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway and Baseline Road will be closed for traffic on several occassions from 6 pm to 10 pm on April 4 due to the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Police said.

Those planning to come to the Katunayake airport during this time are advised to reschedule thier journies after considering the raod closures.

Police said several roads in areas such as Galle Face, Independence Square and the Apegama area in Battaramulla will also be closed on several occassions on April 5.

Mortorists who use these roads will be directed to alternate routes during this time to minimise traffic congestion, police said.
