Ship carrying another 40,000 MT diesel arrives

Sri Lanka had received another 40,000 MT of diesel from India yesterday under the Indian credit line, Indian High Commission said.

They said a total of nearly 400,000 MT of various types of fuel have already been delivered to Sri Lanka under Indian assistance during the past two months.

Meanwhile, Energy and Power Minister Kanchana Wijesekera also confirmed that the above volume of diesel reached the shores.

He requested the public to maintain order so that expeditious dispensation of island wide fuel could go unhindered. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
