Resolution to remove Deshabandu to be moved in Parliament on April 8

The Committee on Parliamentary Business has decided to present the Notice of Resolution to appoint a Committee of Inquiry for the removal of Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Tennakoon from his post, to Parliament on April 8 for approval, the Communications Department of Parliament said.

The decision was taken by the Committee on Parliamentary Business chaired by Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.

It has also been decided that Parliament will convene on April 8, 9 and 10.
