Protest in Battaramulla over suspending issuing passport

A protest is currently taking place, blocking the main road in Battaramulla at the Immigration and Emigration Department for suspending issuing passports due to system malfunction.

Accordingly, one day issuing of normal passports at the immigration department's head office and its branches has been suspended.

They said all other services were limited until noon. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
