Colombo, April 2 (Daily Mirror)- Sri Lanka and India is set to sign several bi-lateral agreements on defence, health, energy and digital economy during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to Sri Lanka from April 4 to 6, Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said today.
He told the weekly briefing to announce cabinet decisions that Prime Minister Modi will arrive in the country on April 4 and a ceremony to welcome him will be held at the Independence Square on April 5 morning.
He said Modi will hold bi-lateral talks with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on the same day and will issue a joint statement on the discussions.
The Minister said Prime Minister Modi will commence the work on Sampur Solar power project, inaugurate Dambulla Cold Storage Facility and open solar power units donated to some religious places, online from Colombo.
He said the Prime Minister will visit Anuradhapura Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi on April 6 and inaugurate the railway signaling system on the Mahawa-Anuradhapura line.
