Government stabilised country within three months: Nalinda

Colombo, December 30 (Daily Mirror)- The government has been able to stabilise the country within three months where some halted foreign funded projects have recommenced while discussions have been initiated to bring in new investments, Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said today.

He told reporters after assuming duties as the chairman of the District Development Committee of the Kalutara District that the President was able to discuss with Finance Ministry and other state officials and take clear decisions in stabilising the country despite claims of the Opposition that the economy will run into bankruptcy again.

The Minister said local and international entrepreneurs and investors have developed confidence in the country and added that the share market has also seen a drastic growth recently.
