Another consignment of rice arrives from India

A fresh consignment rice weighing 11,000 MT from India, reached the Colombo Port today, the High Commission of India in Colombo said.

They said the rice was freighted by the vessel 'Chen Glory' ahead of the New Year season.

Meanwhile, a consignment of 16,000 MT of rice was supplied under India's multi- pronged support to Sri Lanka in the past week alone, the High Commission said.

This supply marks the special bond between India and Sri Lanka with the assurance to continue the goodwill between the two nations. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
