AISCTS withdraws from shuttling school children today: Assn.

Following the present unrest in the country, the All-Island School Children Transport Association (AISCTA) has withdrawn from transporting schoolchildren today.

AISVOA (???) Chairman Malsiri de Silva told the Daily Mirror that the decision was taken considering the threats made by other associations.

"They are not going to harm us because of the children, but it is better not to transport children only for today until calm is restored," he said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
