7 independent group MPs meet Chinese envoy, request China’s support to SL

Seven Parliamentarians of independent group in Parliament have met Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong and requested for China's continuous support to Sri Lanka, the Chinese Embassy said. 

“On 22nd April, China's Ambassador Qi Zhenhong met with 7 MPs of independent group in Sri Lanka parliament. They exchanged opinions on current situation in Sri Lanka, China's assistance to the island and other topics of mutual interest.
The MPs requested for China's continuous support to Sri Lanka,” the Embassy tweeted.

MPs Dayasiri Jayasekara, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Udaya Gammanpila, Ven Athuraliye Ratana Thera, Jagath Pushpakumara, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and Weerasumana Weerasingha have met the Chinese envoy.
