17-year-old killed by lightning strike

A 17-year-old youth was killed after being struck by lightning at Vishwamadu in Puthukkudiyiruppu this afternoon, police said.

They said he died on admission to the Dharmapuram Hospital.

The victim was identified as Darmabalasingham Dayanandan of Thottaadi, Vishwamadu.
