13 schoolchildren hospitalised due to food poisoning

Thirteen schoolchildren from Tamil Maha Vidyalayam in Hatton were admitted to the Dickoya Primary Hospital this afternoon (10) after experiencing symptoms of food poisoning.

A hospital doctor confirmed that the affected children, aged 9 to 10 years and studying in Grades 4 and 5, were admitted with symptoms of dizziness and vomiting. The children reportedly fell ill after consuming lunch at school and returning home.

Among the 13 children, seven are boys and the rest are girls. 

The doctor assured that their condition is not serious and they are receiving necessary treatment.
