10 rotties, a bottle of soft drink auctioned for Rs. 10,000 in Matale

Ten rotties and a bottle of soft drink have been auctioned for Rs. 10,000 in Bakamunayaya, Matale in aid of the village funeral society.

K. Dinushika Fernando, a student who sat for the 2021 GCE A/Ls functioned as the auctioneer. She studied in the Arts stream for her examinations and obtained three A grade passes, ranking 34th in the Matale district.

It was reported that the rotties and drink were auctioned for this amount owing to Dinushika's special oratory skills.
