1 dead, 34 injured, 3 in ICU after unrest in Rambukkana

One person has died and 34 people were injured while three individuals were receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Kegalle Hospital following gunshot injuries after unrest in Rambukkana last evening, police said it's its latest situation update. 

They said 20 police officers and 14 people were admitted to the Teaching Hospital in Kegalle and Kandy National Hospital.

Meanwhile, 15 of the injured police officers were transported to the Kandy National Hospital yesterday for further treatment.

The three people being treated at the ICU in the Kegalle Teaching Hospital are in critical conditions. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama and Rohan Kumara-Kegalle)
