SLASSCOM Academy launches the Cloud Engineering Bootcamp

Cloud computing is no longer just a buzzword – it’s an industry with a global market value of $371 billion (and growing). Through 2025, the global cloud computing market is set to exceed $832 billion in value.The countless reasons why cloud computing is important for business stems from its ability to allow organizations to scale, maintain flexibility and make business operations efficient.

With the aim of producing talent that will be proficient in Cloud computing to meet the increasing demand coming from the industry’s global client, the SLASSCOM Academy recently launched the Cloud Engineering Bootcamp 2022, targeted for both undergraduates and professionals.

The bootcamp curriculum was designed through the voluntary contribution of cloud engineering experts from leading IT-BPM companies. A significant contribution was made by LSEG in sharing their cloud curriculum used internally, along with the strong expert support given by Arjuna Nanayakkara – LSEG, Nithushan Francis – LSEG, Lalindra Harankahawa – LSEG, Tharindhu Nanayakkara – LSEG, Diyath Ariyarathne – Pearson, Champika Thembiliyagoda – Pearson, Roshan Razik – Pearson, Sanjeewa Alwis – Pearson, Buddika Godakanda - Sysco Labs, Gihan Thalagala - Sysco Labs, Thilina Viraj - Sysco Labs, Mangala Perera - Root Code Labs, Damith Kothalawala - DevOps Sri Lanka Community, Sampath Thrimavithana – Virtusa, and Charith Ruwinda – Wiley, to tailor make it for this bootcamp. The curriculum covers topics ranging from an introduction to Cloud computing and AWS, GCP, AZURE, to Cloud services comparison and deployment, Cloud architecture and best practices, Security and Governance, and Cloud Operations.
