A large haul of beef seized by uniformed men, while being illegally transported at a security barrier in a township close to a reservoir the other day, had ended as ‘bite’ at a big booze-up, they say.
After seizing the stuff, the uniformed ones had discovered that the owner of the vehicle in which the beef was being transported was a close buddy of a prominent politico and given the political tie-up they had decided to go easy on the matter.
They had later divided part of the 92-kilo haul among themselves and used the balance to make ‘bite’ for a big booze-up, they say.
