A rumour was doing the rounds ever since the April 21 carnage that yet another five-star hotel in the city was to be attacked and it did not come to pass due to an eleventh hour change in the original plan.

It was the Blue party’s secretarial one who gave a new slant to this rumour when he in a public statement called upon the authorities concerned to find out why the terrorists had decided not to attack this hotel and also a VIP who had been inside this hotel at that time.

Following the secretarial one’s public announcement, some inquisitive Diyawanna politicos of the government had begun making inquiries and had stumbled on the discovery that a city-based envoy from a very powerful country had been a guest of the hotel.

Meanwhile, some puzzled politicos have reportedly begun trying to fit in the secretarial one’s tip-off about the failed disaster with the alleged presence of the foreign diplomat in the hotel on that fateful day, they say.
