The Commercial Bank of Ceylon recently donated two autoclaves to the Point Pedro Base Hospital, in response to a request. These units will be used for infection control at the hospital’s operating theatre. A ‘Type A’ Base Hospital, the Pedro Hospital serves about 150,000 people in the Vadamarachchi region of Jaffna.
